Aston Martin puts 600hp V12 in the Vantage RS

Aston Martin has taken the V12 engine from the DBRS9 race car and has fitted it into a special edition Vantage RS. The car was revealed today at the opening of Aston’s new design center in Gaydon.

The V12 engine produces 600 horsepower and gives the Vantage RS the ability to do 0-60 in sub 4.0 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph.  Aiming at Ferrari, Aston Martin says that the performance of the Vantage RS is up to par with the Ferrari 599 GTB.

So far the car is being shown as a concept car but it is expected to go into production next year as a limited edition model. Pricing is expected to be above the DBS.
