Following the official teaser image released by Land Rover during the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, a photo has leaked of the new Land Rover Concept that is expected to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month. Known so far as the ‘Landie,’ the two-door compact SUV is expected to compete with the BMW X3 and the upcoming Mercedes GLK and Audi Q3.

As previously reported, Phil Popham, Managing Director of Land Rover, mentioned that the car is only a concept at the moment, which will make its debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show.

 

“This is a statement of intent about a new direction that Land Rover wants to go in, about sporttiness and low C02 emissions, said Popham.
