Audi sells more than 893,000 cars in the first 11 months of 2007

Audi has sold approximately 893,600 cars worldwide between in the first 11 months of 2007, a rise of 7.3 percent from the same period last year. The German automaker sold 75,600 units in November itself, enjoying significant growth in European markets.

Sales in European countries outside of German rose to 28,950 in November, a 3.5 percent increase from the same period last year. Audi enjoyed an 8.4 percent increase in sales in the first 11 months in European markets with total sales in Europe accounting for 408,200 units.

In the U.S. Audi sold 9,104 units in November of 2007, down 1.1 percent from 2006. However total sales for the first 11 months were up 8.7 percent to 85,004 units sold.

According to Raplh Weyler, member of the Audi AG board for marketing and sales, Audi will end up selling more than its anticipated total of 950,000 units for 2007.
