Dar, a Kuwait based investment group, and Daimler are in talks for a possible cooperation between Mercedes and Aston Martin, 50 percent of which is owned by Dar.

According to the report by Kuwait based al Qababs, a group from Daimler paid a visit to Dar this past Tuesday to talk about investment opportunities. Another delegation from Aston Martin is expected to visit Mercedes in Stuttgart in the next few weeks.

Of course, while writing this we can’t stop thinking of all the possible outcomes of a Mercedes and Aston Martin collaboration. Just to throw it out there, maybe Mercedes is seeking some help for the upcoming SLC that will take inspiration from the iconic 300GL Gullwing.
