Ferrari to offer Brembo brakes with carbon ceramic as standard
Ferrari has announced that it will fit all 2008 models with Brembo brakes along with carbon ceramic material brake disks. Ferrari was the first auto maker to offer the technology on its Enzo model and now will offer the option as standard across its full lineup.
What does this mean to you (if you’re running out to purchase a new Ferrari)? Well CCM discs offer a much more responsive braking at high levels of intensive performance. The fade resistance allows for better control when braking.
“The CCM discs have a longer life under normal conditions, a fact that has clear financial advantages. Furthermore, even with continual track use, CCM brakes offer greater resistance to wear for better durability on track. ”
Not to mention they take off 15kh off the car’s total weight.
