Lexus sells 6,093 LS 600h Hybrids in 5 months

When Lexus announced the starting MSRP of the Lexus LS 600h Hybrid at $104,750, the media ridiculed the model for being way too expensive for a hybrid. Not to mention the so-so fuel-economy.

Originally, Lexus expected to sell a total of 7,000 Lexus LS 600h hybrids in 2007 with Japan accounting for 3,600 units, Europe accounting for 2,160 units and the US accounting for 1,200 to 2,000 units in the US. According to the latest results from Toyota, Lexus has already moved 6,093 units worldwide up until October. The car just went on sale in July.

Sales of the RX400h and the GS450h, are both down significantly.
