Spy Shots: Jaguar XF-R Spotted

Just yesterday the first Jaguar XF rolled off the production line and Jaguar is already out testing the Jaguar XF R. Sources tell our friends at CarMagazine that the Jaguar XF R is powered by the same 4.2 liter V8 engine slatted for the U.S. but breathes more air to produce close to 500 horsepower.

The Jaguar XF R will give the struggling company room to compete in the high-performance four-door sedan segment against rivals such as the BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG and Audi RS6.

Expect the Jaguar XF R to make an auto show debut in late 2008.
