2008 Nissan Rogue exceeds expectations

2008 Nissan Rouge exceeds expectations

According to Bill Bosley, vice president and general manager of the Nissan division, the consumer demand for the new 2008 Rogue crossover is exceeding the company’s expectations.

“It’s in the very early days, but we are pleased with both the traffic and sales we’ve seen on the car,” Bosley told InsideLine.

Nissan is hoping that the 2008 Rogue will give it strong ground to compete against rivals such as the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V.

“Small crossovers are the fastest-growing segment, and we haven’t had an entry there,” Bosley said.

The 2008 Nissan Rogue SL starts at $21,870 available only in AWD. All 2008 Nissan Rogue models are powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and is mated with Nissan Xtronic CVT transmission.

Nissan is also getting ready to launch the Infiniti EX, which will fit the slot below the FX crossover.
