LA Auto Show: No Q5 but Audi unveils Cross Cabriolet Quattro

Sorry guys… there was no Audi Q5 today at Audi’s press conference. We were pretty surprised ourselves when word starting going around of the Audi Q5 (baby Q7) making its debut at the LA Auto Show since it’s not an ‘international auto show.’ However, Audi did unveil their new Cross Cabriolet Quattro concept a mash-up between an SUV and a convertible
According to Audi spokesman Christian Bokich, the Audi Cross Cabriolet Quattro concept “hints of what the Q5 will look like, but it will not be the production car.”
The Audi Cross Cabriolet Quattro concept is a two-door four-seater convertible SUV that is powered by a 3.0 liter TDI that produces 240 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 takes 7.2 seconds while fuel-economy estimated to average 32.2mpg. The concept also shows new technology that may be seen in future Audis.
Yeah, we’re really disappointed that there was no Q5 and are going to make our way to the Nissan press conference to check out the new GT-R.
