Nissan announced an increase in the price of the 2008 Titan pickups. The new 2008 Nissan Titan 2WD King Cab XE standard-bed model starts at $26,075 an increase of $940 over the price tag the 2008 Titan first had when it was introduced.

Known as the 2008.5 Titan pickup by Nissan, the Titan gets a $1,630 over the 2007 Titan 2WD King Cab XE.

According to Nissan spokesman Darryll Harrison, the price increase is due to midcycle improvements, equipment updates and option packages for the 2008.5 Titan.

The 2008.5 Nissan Titan adds the options of body-color grille on XE models, heated mirrors, microfilter on Titan PRO-4X Leather Package and a leather-wrapped steering wheel to the SE Popular Package.
