Jaguar dropping X-Type from the U.S. lineup

Just this morning we told you about the fresh 2008 Jaguar X-Type that made its official UK debut. New reports are now saying that Jaguar is pulling its entry level sedan from the U.S. market. According to AutoWeek Jaguar will pull the X-Type from the U.S. market next March.

Jaguar will kill production of the U.S. based X-Type in December when it switches over to the facelifted model announced early this morning.

Originally Jaguar had planned the X-Type to run in the U.S. market until 2010. The Jaguar X-Type hit an all-time high in 2003 with 5,000 units sold; ever since sales have been decreasing.

Oh well, can’t wait to see the XF on our roads.
