The Mini Cooper Diesel is powered by a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 110 horsepower. The Mini Cooper Petrol is powered by a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 12 horsepower.
According to Mini, combined fuel-economy on the automatic petrol is 43.5 mpg while the automatic diesel gets 56.5 mpg.
