Spy Shots: Mercedes SL Black Series

Spies have caught a Mercedes-Benz SL Black Series prototype around the roads of Nurburgring. The car is making preparation to hit up the Nurburgring later this week and is expected to be what spies say “the most wicked SL ever conceived.”

In order to increase performance Mercedes has added huge fenders which are said to be made from carbon fiber. Mercedes has also converted the convertible roof into a fixed coupe roof, also expected to be made from carbon fiber to lower the SL Black Series’ center of gravity. No word on what’s under the hood.

The SL 55 AMG will now become the SL 63 AMG sporting a 6.2 liter V8 engine producing over 600 horsepower. So we expect power to be above 600hp.
