Not only is Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division dreaming of using BMW’s hardware, they will also be copying BMW by starting a factory tour program. Mercedes hopes that offering a tour to customers will help built loyalty as they watch their cars be made.
AMG customers have shown interest to visit AMF’s headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany and the company is now planning on ways to accommodate them, Mario Spitzner, AMG’s director of marketing and sales told InsideLine.
“We have been working on a factory tour in Affalterbach for awhile,” he said. “We are starting slowly because the demand would be more than we could handle.”
Would you pay them a visit if you were in the area? We’d much rather spend time with BMW.
