Morgan’s LIFEcar fuel-cell hybrid coming to Geneva 2008

One of our favorite cars here at eGMCarTech is the Morgan Aero-8 GTN, a car that carries a 4.6 liter BMW V8 engine that produces 330 horsepower. In 2000 when Morgan returned with the Aero 8, it continued to unveil a wave of roadster to please power hungry auto-enthusiasts with their traditional design.

In October 2006, Morgan announced that it would be working on a fuel-cell based sports car called the LIFEcar based on the Aero 8. The company promised to unveil the car in 2 to 3 years. Well, keeping its promise, Morgan has just released images of the LIFEcar concept that will make its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show.

The LIFEcar is being built in collaboration with the UK Department for Trade and Industry (DTI), fuel cell maker QinetiQ, BOC, and OScar, and educational institutions. According to Morga, “it will demonstrate that a new step in vehicle architecture is enabled by the use of a fuel cell hybrid power train.”
