Spy Shots: BMW X6 front and rear design shown before Frankfurt

As BMW gets ready to unveil the BMW X6 in concept form at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW has given approval for the X6 prototypes to shed a good amount of their camouflage. These photos were taken by the folks over at WorldCarFans, who caught the car at the California desert as well as the streets in Munich.

When the production version hits dealers in mid-2008, expect engine sizes to be similar to the BMW X5 with a 3.0 liter petrol and diesel, as well as a 4.8 liter V8 355 horsepower range topper. The car will go into production next year at BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina plant.
