So we’re reading this press release with much interest hoping for the part where it says “the DBR9 handed it to the DBS,” but unfortunately that wasn’t said. Nonetheless, the new Aston Martin DBS recently came face-to-face with the Le Mans-winning DBR9 at the Nurburgring earlier this week.
The DBS was in Germany for a final test run at Nurburgring’s Nordschleife circuit at the same time the Aston Martin DBR9, along with other customer race teams, were enjoying an exclusive Aston Martin test session on the Grand Prix circuit. That created an ideal opportunity for the two cars to meet.
The new DBS underwent a final sign-off from Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez. Deliveries of the DBS are expected to begin during quarter one of 2008, with prices to be confirmed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
