Lamborghini announces 2008 model year enhancements

Lamborghini has announced updates to its 2008 model year Gallardo and Murciélago LP640 models. For 2008 both models will now come with a three-year warranty. The unlimited mileage warrant will now be standard across all markets.

On the 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo, MY08 now offers the following additional standard equipment: onboard computer, iPod integration, heated mirrors, and USB connection under the front bonnet in place of the CD loader as a no-cost option. A new soft-top color ““ beige ““ will become available for the Gallardo Spyder.

For the Murciélago LP640, the MY08 offers iPod preparation and a USB interface as new options. The CD loader is still available as standard equipment.

Other options offered include the steering wheel in perforated leather across all models, and two new choices of dark blue and grey colors for the soft-top of the Murciélago LP640 Roadster.

    I am an owner of two Lambos,a 5000S Countach and a 6.0 Diablo and having one of these cars @ the Concorso Italiano in Monterey I had the chance to look at both the Gallardo and Murcielago. I can only think how boring their design is, and at that time it dawn on me these cars don’t have the true Italian Soul the Countach and Diablo have. I truly miss the days when Bertone and Gandini were calling the shots and Lamborghini was truly a Lamborghini.
