Loremo, a German auto maker found in 2000, is well known for their 157mpg concept car which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006. Now the company is bringing the first working prototype to Frankfurt in September.
Of course for the production version specifications have changed. The Loremo L1, according to Auto-News, has a fuel economy of 117mpg with an eight liter tank of diesel.
The company hopes to win the Automotive X-Prize, a foundation that provides money for cars producing 100mpg or more, to further development of the Loremo L1.
Loremo stands for Low Resistance Mobile.
