Official: Top Gear coming to U.S. on Aug 20th

According to BBC America, Clarkson, Hammond and May are coming to the U.S., in one of the world’s most popular car shows, Top Gear. Starting August 20th, Top Gear will be available by your local cable operator.

Jalopnik has confirmed with someone at BBC America, who says this is official and that Top Gear UK will be airing on BBC America starting August 20th.

Famous names appearing this season include actors Ewan McGregor, Ray Winstone, and Sir Michael Gambon as well as celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.

    IT IS TRUE. I JUST CHECKED THE T.V SCHEDULE AND IT IS SHOWN THERE. FIRST AIRING AUGUST 20TH AT 8 & 9P.M (ET) 5 & 6 P.M (PT) AND A REPEAT AT 11 & 12 P.M (ET) 8 & 9 P.M (PT). I CAN’T WAIT.

    It will be on BBC America. I watch them on Youtube. If you search “Top Gear Season 1 Episode 1″ or any other season and episode you can watch it on YouTube.

    I read that an unnamed US network tried to bring the crew over here to review American cars but Clarkson isn’t too fond of the US and would have to be here for several months of filming. I say bring Hammond and May over, I’d still watch that!
