Yesterday, we brought you mystery spy shots of a Mercedes prototype that spies caught while AMG engineers were preparing it for testing.
According to these spy shots taken by our friends at CarMagazine, under the awkward Viper looking body is the next Mercedes supercar that the company will make without the help of McLaren. The Mercedes SLC takes inspiration from the iconic 300GL Gullwing, and CarMagazine says they hear rumors of lift-up doors as well.
Mercedes is getting ready to reveal the car at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, or at least a concept version of it. The Mercedes SLC is expected to be powered by a 6.2 liter AMG V8 engine producing 600 horsepower with only 500 making it into production. Pricing should begin somewhere around £120,000 ($243,200).
