Audi Q7 V12 TDI coming in 2008
As reported yesterday, Volkswagen is ending its Bluetec diesel campaign agreement with Mercedes-Benz, effective immediately. The largest German auto maker has instead decided that it will bring its own diesel cars to the US next year with the “˜TDI” branding.
Well a Volkswagen spokesman has supposedly told AutoTelegraaff that the Audi Q7 V12 TDI will be hitting the market in the second half of 2008. The Audi Q7 V12 TDI produces 500 horsepower giving it the ability to do 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds.
Its fuel consumption of 11.9 litres per 100 km is pretty low, considering its size, but engineers hope to improve it more when it hits the market.
There is no word whether the Audi Q7 V12 TDI will come over to the US. Currently, Audi offers a Q7 4.2 TDI in Europe with 362 horsepower that gives it the ability to do 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds.
