
In our recent poll the new 2008 BMW M3 took the lead over the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG by 14% with a total of 542 votes. Being the most anticipated car of this year, BMW thinks it will sell well over a 100,000 units when it hits markets.
Each M3 variant has sold more units than its predecessors. The first-generation E30 model sold around 18,000 units with the latest, E46, moving 90,000 units.
At the launch of the BMW M3 in Spain, BMW’s M Division product manager, Carsten Pries, told Automobilwoche that they wanted increase sales speculation compared to those of the previous models.
We definitely think BMW will be able to hit there projected sales.
