BMW 6-Series gets 282hp twin-turbo diesel engine

BMW has announced a powerful diesel-powered 6-Series called the 635d. The car is powered by a 3.0 liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 282 horsepower giving it the ability to do 0-62 in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
The best part is that the BMW 635d will get an average fuel economy of 40 mpg. As a part of BMW EfficientDynamics program, the entire 6-Series range will be getting a makeover with more equipment and more technology. BMW also plans on introducing regenerative brake technology and a more efficient engine for the 630i.
According to BMW, fuel economy will be increased by 15 percent in the 630i and by 5 percent in the 4.8 liter 650i.
The BMW 635d comes with a six-speed gear box as standard, as well as wheel-mounted paddles for manual changes.
