If you’re looked to grab the 2008 Volkswagen R32 you better hurry to your nearest Volkswagen dealer asap. The car doesnt arrive at dealers until this fall (the launch has been delayed from August) but of the 5,000 R32s bound for the US, 1,000 have already found a home.

Volkswagen said “an exclusive pre-sale of the new Mk V R32 that was offered to current-model GTI and R32 owners has resulted in the pre-sale of nearly 1,000 of the 5,000 coveted” cars. The German based company also said that the R32 will have an MSRP of $32,990 when it arrives in showrooms.

Volkswagen also said that when it debuts, the car will come in four exterior colors including, deep blue metallic, tornado red, as well as two new colors for 2008: candy white and united gray.

The 2008 Volkswagen R32 has a 3.2 liter V6 engine that produces 250 horsepower with 236 ft. lbs. of torque. Volkswagen’s acclaimed DSG transmission allows for seamless gear changes and accelerates from 0-60 in approximately 6.4 seconds.
