2009 Cadillac CTS-V to get 600HP Corvette Blue Devil engine

Spotted last week, sources who caught the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V said that the car is expected to be powered by a V8 supercharged engine producing 500 horsepower. Well now according to a new report from Motor Trend, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V will get the same engine as the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette Blue Devil.

That means the next CTS-V will be powered by the LS7 7.0 liter which will produce 600 horsepower, putting it a 100 horsepower short of the Z07.

That puts the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V in a perfect position to show up rivals such as the BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG and the Audi RS6.

The current Cadillac CTS-V gets 400 horsepower.
