Porsche Roxter: Small Cayenne to be based on new Audi Q5

We’ve already reported back in late March that Porsche is working on a compact SUV based on the upcoming Audi Q5. Now, according to a recent report by AutoBild the baby Porsche SUV will carry the name “Porsche Roxter.” When it that will compete with the likes of the BMW X3 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLK.

The Porsche – Volkswagen team played a large part in the development of the original Cayenne and the Touareg, and now both the Audi Q5 and the Porsche Roxter will also be developed with the collaboration of Porsche and Volkswagen engineers.

The Porsche Roxter will use the six and eight-cylinder engines from the Porsche Cayenne.
