Audi Q5 to debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show
According to AutoExpress the Audi Q5 is in the first stages of development and is expected to reach dealerships late next year. When it arrives, the Audi Q5 will compete against the BMW X3 and Mercedes MLK, GLK or whatever the decide to call it.
Inspired by the Audi Cross Coupe concept, the Audi Q5 shares the platform of the Audi A5 coupe and uses Audi’s quattro four-wheel-drive system to offer decent off-road capability. The compact SUV will have a variety of diesel engines including a 2.0 liter TDI that produces 204 horsepower and a 3.0 liter TDI. A range-topping 4.2 liter FSI gasoline engine is also possible.
Design wise the Audi Q5 will carry a Q7 like grille, LED headlights and a muscular stance. Inside, the Q5 will have room for 5 passengers.
The Audi Q5 will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2008.
