Chrysler Aspen Hybrid to get a Hemi next year

Chrysler said today that when the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid arrives at dealerships next year, it will feature a 5.7 liter Hemi engine. The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is expected to get 25% better fuel economy than a regular Hemi Aspen and is expected to get nearly 40% better mileage while driving in the city.

The Aspen Hybrid’s 5.7 liter Hemi was developed in partnership with GM and BMW and features a two-mode hybrid system that offers two transmission modes to provide better fuel economy.

“The all-new Chrysler Group HEMI Hybrid will offer our customers the best of both worlds: renowned performance and significantly improved fuel economy,” Frank Klegon, Chrysler Group Executive Vice President of Product Development.

Chrysler will also launch the new Dodge Durango Hybrid next year as well.
