Ford said today that sales were not even close to where the company expected them to be in April. Ford said that April was a horrible month for the auto industry due to slow housing market and rising gas prices.
“This month is terrible,” Ford chief sales analyst George Pipas said in an interview. He said the industry volume seemed to be down 10 percent to date before seasonal adjustment.
On a side note, Toyota has taken the number one spot from GM by selling 2.35 million cars in the first quarter.
