Audi is set to double its model count by 2015. “We have 22 vehicles in the lineup already and the other 18 in our heads,” said Michael Dick, Audi’s Product Development Chief. So while Audi is still planning the Q5 SUV, A7 four-door coupe and the A1 compact car, it is ready to milk the A5 line for all it’s worth.

Rupert Stadler, Audi’s CEO, is spilling the beans in Germany and AutoBild is reporting that Audi plans to begin revealing its ‘5′ breed starting 2008 with a A5 Convertible due in November of 2008 and the A5 Sportback (AutoBild rendering shown above) due in April of 2009.

Both will be followed by the Q5 SUV, along with an R5 and RS5. We are crossing our fingers for all ‘5′ models to come to the US but that is highly-unlikely.
