Watch out Evo and WRX: Porsche 911 GT3 does the rally thing

This may put an end to Mitsubishi Evo’s and Subaru WRX’s popularity in the rally world. Belgian Tuner Futureworld worked with Porsche to develop 10 Porsche 911 GT3 rally cars that will be taking part in the German Rally Championship. With a price tag of 125,000 Euro, the Porsche 911 GT3 rally car is powered by a 3.6 liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 381 horsepower. That is 95 more than the Evo and 81 more than the WRX.

The Porsche 911 GT3 rally starts rally racing later this year.

Only 95 horsepower more than an evo with an extra 1.8 litres and an extra 2 cyclinders. Not very impressive considering the evo MR FQ 400 pushes out 405 horsepower with a 2 litre, 4 cyclinder engine. Now thats a level playing ground by which the FQ 400 would outrun this porsche in a 0-100 head to head. Also the evo's handling way outclasses the porsche's as it has active centre differential and active yaw control which sends power from front to back and left to right depending on traction. Still want to compare???? The FQ 400 sells for approximately 40,000 pounds. Thats much less than the porsche. You make the choice!

um yes but it can be no more than a 2.0 litre displacement -.- all rallycars are 2.0 litres or less, including the Evo's and WRX's. and those cars have proven horsepower is not everything in rally anyway. Maybe the German Rally Championship has different displacment rules, but from what I know Rally is no more than 2.0, not 1.6 litres more. So Correct me if I'm wrong. . .my Email is listed
