That’s Absurd: Haglund says Al Gore should buy Chrysler

Of all the buyers in the running to buy the Chrysler Group, Rick Haglund of mlive.com thinks that Al Gore should take the company off Daimler’s hands. Why? Well, Rick thinks that former US Vice President Gore should stop relying on novels and Hollywood to convince the world to stop destroying the planet through global warming and should “put some skin in the game.” Rick says Gore should buy Chrysler and make it the greenest automaker on the planet.

Haglund says Gore should “Dump Chrysler’s gasoline-fueled internal combustion engines altogether and replace them with fuel cells, electric motors and engines that run on biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel.”

He goes onto point out Gore’s achievements such as best-selling author, Oscar winner for his movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize nominee. We’re just wondering one thing: Gore has no automotive industry experience whatsoever. Good one Rick.
