BMW said today that while first-quarter sales rose 0.1 percent from last year with a total of 333,276 BMW, MINI, Rolls Royce cars sold, March sales for new cars fell by 1.9 percent to a total of 141,568. For March, Rolls Royce was the only brand to report a sales increase of 6.4 percent while BMW cars fell 2 percent and MINI cars fell 1.5 percent.

The BMW brand sold 286,185 vehicles in the first-quarter, an increase of 1 percent. The Rolls-Royce brand sold 113 vehicles, an increase 5.6 percent.
