Top Gear may be coming to the US

BBC said today that it is in talks to bring the popular TV series Top Gear to the United States. The Sun reports that the show will make its debut in the United States with original hosts, Clarkson, Hammond and May and will focus on American cars. Top Gear has been shown from time-to-time on the Discovery Channel and now a spokeswoman for BBC says that BBC Worldwide is in talks with US Networks to start a local version of Top Gear for the American audience.

Well it’s about time we get our weekly dose of our favorite TV show right in our homes.

    I hope they come to the US and explain to people why American cars are terrible. If they could do a comparison to BMWs, Alfas, Mercedes, and other European cars that actually handle well and brake well, it would be illuminating to the American public.
