Mercedes and BMW team up for premium hybrid

Ford just confirmed that they will be teaming up with Toyota to share some hybrid technology and today BMW and Mercedes have been reported to be talking on developing an upper-class hybrid within the next three years with a production model ready by 2010. Both comeptitors are looking to bring their knowledge and technology to the table in order to reduce the cost of development.

Both Mercedes and BMW already have been working on premium hybrid models with the 2005 Mercedes-Benz S-Class BLUETEC hybrid concept and the BMW Hydrogen 7.
