Google gives green for green cars

Environmentally-minded companies like Google and Bank of America are offering incentives to their employees for buying a new hybrid car. Bank of America for example announced February 2nd that more than 185,000 employees who purchase a new hybrid car will get $3,000 in cash while Google is offering its own bonuses as an incentive.

Most companies are doing due to their commitment to the environment, philanthropy and to help employees cover the additional expense that it costs them for purchasing a hybrid variant of the car rather than the gasoline version since the hybrid variants average about $3,000 to $6,000 extra.

If we worked at Google or Bank of America, we would buy a hybrid Civic right away.
