Toyota inspired by Mazda for the next Matrix model

So how many of you think that the Toyota Matrix is one of the ugliest things Toyota ever put into production? Well that’s all about to change. Remember the Toyota Blade (pictured above) that launched in Japan in late December of 2006? Now Toyota is now getting ready to replace the Toyota Matrix in the US with a spin off of the Blade which is expected to be inspired by the Mazda3.

Toyota insiders say the Mazda3 is the hip cool car in the compact class and that is exactly where they want the next Matrix to go with the badge of the Toyota Blade. How many of you think the Blade is any better looking than the Matrix because we are iffy? Kind of ugly if you ask us

    Looks like a yaris mixed with a Nissan versa = UGLY weak look car.

    Having owned a Mazda3, let me say that it is one of the nicest looking compact cars around- hands down. That picture of the Toyota blade looks like a cheap knock-off (and, like bobmarley said, an ugly cross between a Versa and a Yaris).

    I dont like it, i have an 06 Matrix & love it, i think it looks better then the new Blade anyway.
