Lutz has confirmed it himself. In an interview with Automotive News Bob Lutz said that a limited edition Corvette that will produce 600 horsepower will arrive in the 2010 lineup in the summer of 2009. “There is a distinct appetite for something beyond the Z06 in performance, beyond the Z06 in exclusivity and beyond the Z06 in price,” Lutz told Automotive News.
The car is already under development since we’ve been seeing spy shots of what were said to be the Blue Devil, Sting Ray or Z07 and GM’s Tom Wallace had confirmed that GM was working on the car. Currently the Z06 is the top of the line Corvette and produces 505 horsepower.
