Well this is some sad news after we just reported the Honda Civic Hybrid as the Top 12 Greenest car but Honda is recalling some 45,335 Civic Hybrids all over the globe due to a fault in the voltage converter that causes the engine to stop working. 38,116 recalls will be from overseas with the majority of them from the US market.

Honda has received no reports of accidents, the documents said. The affected vehicles were manufactured between September 2005 and September 2006, they said.
