So everyone started going nuts when they heard that Aston Martin will be bought by Louis Vuitton. As reported my MarketWatch on February 1st, Louis Vuitton was set to buy the Aston Martin brand from Ford, where Ford will still maintain 15% stake in the company. Well, AutoCar publication in UK decided to ask a Louis Vuitton representative about the rumor to which he replied “There is no truth in this story whatsoever.” Louis Vuitton did show interest in purchasing the brand from Ford but gave up when bidding went over £400 million. Guess we’ll have to wait and see who really buys Aston from Ford.
