GM just unveiled the new 2008 Cadillac CTS at the Detroit Auto Show for the US. But now Automotive News is reporting that Europe will be getting a new diesel powered 2008 Cadillac CTS a couple of months after its gasoline version launch in October. Teaming up with Italy”s VM Motori, the car is expected to have a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine that will produce up tp 245 horsepower.

“We expect at least 50 percent of CTS sales to be diesels,” said Dick Braakhekke, Cadillac Europe spokesman.
