MINI Introduces MINI One and MINI Cooper D

MINI will be unveiling the new MINI One and MINI Cooper D models at the Geneva Motor Show on March 8th, 2007. The MINI One has a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine that produces 95 horsepower giving the car the ability to do 0-60 mph in a whopping 10.9 seconds. Nonetheless, the car does improve on its fuel-efficiency by 15 percent with the new MINI One having a fuel consumption of 49.6 mpg. The MINI Cooper D has a 1.6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 110 horsepower and is being called the most fuel efficient and cleanest MINI ever with a fuel consumption range of 64.2 mpg.

Both cars will come with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.  The MINI One will cost £11,595 on the road, and the MINI Cooper D will be £14,190. Both models will be on sale from April 2007.
