Report: Next Honda S2000 To Have 4 Seats?

WindingRoad publication is reporting that Honda is working on the successor to the Honda S2000, which reportedly may have 4 seats instead of two and will be marketed towards a more affluent audience. Sources are telling the publication that the successor to the Honda S2000 will also have rear wheel drive, new mechanical specs and will look entirely different than the current model.

Even though the car is now under development we won’t see a concept or production version of it for another two or three years, after it gets approved by Honda’s management. Since Honda is targeting the S2000 successor towards a more affluent audience, we can predict that it may even be under the Acura badge.

    I think a 4 seater S2000 is a awful idea!!! This sounds like thinking coming from General Motors! The S2000 is a sportscars which means 2 seats. If Honda wants sometjing else than call it something else, but keep the S2000 as a true sportscar.
