Volkswagen is claiming that the new Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion is cleaner than the Toyota Prius. The company is saying that the Polo BlueMotion emits 102g/km, which is 2g/km less than Toyota’s electric hybrid, the Prius. The Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion uses a three cylinder 1.4 direct injection turbodiesel engine that gives it the ability to do 72.4 mpg and a 0-60 mph time of 12.4 seconds. With a top speed of 109 mph, the Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion isn’t the fastest vehicle, nontheless it is efficient. The car is expected to go on sale in the UK next year.
