One Millionth Yaris Rolls Off the Line in Europe

The millionth Yaris rolled of the assembly line at Toyota’s France plant on December 11th, 2006. Yaris has been a huge success for Toyota in Europe and was named “Car of the Year” in 2000 and was acknowledged as the safest car in its class by Euro NCAP. The first generation Yaris was sold to more than 1.4 million customers in Europe between 1999 and 2005. Toyota is now aiming to exceed 1.2 million units in Europe for the year of 2008.
