Volkswagen is recalling 62,000 Passat models from the 2006 / 2007 lineup. The 2006 Volkswagen Passat is being recalled for a fault in the wiper blade that may cause it to fail in heavy rain. Also, in both the 2006 and the 2007 Passat the 2.0 liter turbo engine may have a problem in the brake line that can disconnect in cold temperatures. Volkswagen will be sending letters in January to owners of the 2006 and 2007 Passat on contacting local dealers for repairs if needed. If you’re reading this and own a 2006 and 2007 Passat with 2.0 liter turbo engines, you might want to give your car a little room and step down firmly when braking.
