Spy Shots: BMW 135ti

Here are some new Spy Shots of the upcoming BMW 135ti, which is supposedly BMW’s fighter of Volkswagen’s R32. The BMW 135ti is expected to have the same engine as the new 335i with the twin-turbo 300 horsepower engine. The car is still under development and is expected to launch sometime late 2007 and will hit dealerships in 2008. No word on if we will see it in the states.

    If this is in fact the new turbo variant, where is the dual exhaust if the 335i?

    I think a regular 3.0 liter from the X3/Z4 with 265 bhp will be more than enough to do battle with the new R32.

    This is what you see here me thinks, no turbo here.

    I’d say this is the 3-door 130. With shortened rear overhang by a few centimeters and the tailpipes for the 130i 5-door just don’t fit the same.
