Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI Tows a Boeing 747

At a press event Volkswagen demonstrated the power of its V10 TDI Touareg which managed to pull a Boeing 747 weighing over 155 tons. The stunt was preformed by Uew Krieghoff at a runway at Dunsfold Aerodrome in the UK. The Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI was modified to complete the task with 15,498 lbs (approximetly 4.3 tonnes) of metal ballast and a fitment of the 4.56 axle ratio from the Touareg V8. With the Touareg V10 TDI weighing in at over 7 tons the stunt was preformed in second gear towing the jet 150 meters at 5 mph before stopping itself and the plane with its stock brakes. The stunt was preformed over 7 times. We bet all the Touareg V10 TDI owners are really proud of their SUV right now.
