Owning both, I'm always amazed by how Infiniti can get to BMW so effortlessly and suddenly. This car is almost the size of 5 series, yet it handles like a 3 series and drives way better than 5. What Infiniti now really needs is a smoother, 6-speed gear box, higher body rigidity, better building quality, and, dare I say, turboed 2.5L I-4 engine, similar to Mazdaspeed 3, for better weight distribution and lower mass center. All of these will settle down in 2 or 3 generations. By then, people will say, "What 3 series? Mazda 3?" No doubt G35 is getting so close to BMW3 again.
